Falls Prevention Funding Letter to Labor-HHS Appropriations Leaders

Over 40 organizations participated in a group letter on older adult falls funding to secure support for FY22 funding increases. The letter sent to Labor-HHS Appropriations leaders asks that this funding be part of the FY22 Labor, HHS, Education and Related Agencies bill.

The organizations are requesting that the bill include a minimum of $10 million for the Administration for Community Living (ACL) engagement of the aging services network to implement and sustain evidence-based falls prevention programs and $4 million for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Injury Prevention and Control programming and research to prevent older adult falls. Click here to read the letter.

Please feel free to share the letter with any Hill staff you have contacts with as well as your networks and encourage others to share it as well. The letter will also be shared with the remaining members of the House and Senate Subcommittees.
